The B’nai Jeshurun Cemetery
It is always easier and kinder to our loved ones if we plan for the inevitable far in advance. Our congregation is fortunate to own and maintain 25 acres in nearby Elizabeth. Beautifully landscaped, well maintained and under the supervision of our Board of Trustees, TBJ’s cemetery offers both belowground plots and above ground mausoleum. The newly renovated Lehman Chapel graces the grounds of the cemetery and is used for memorial services and funerals.
Plots may be purchased through an installment plan and are available as single, multiple or large family plots.

Location and Directions
The cemetery is located on Lower Road, Hillside, NJ.
Lower Road is a short street off North Broad Street in Hillside. Opposite Lower Road is the Growney Funeral Home, on the corner of Lower Road, is the Evergreen Cemetery.
Directions from Route 78 Eastbound
Take Exit 54 (Irvington/Hillside Exit). Follow signs for Hillside. At the bottom of the exit ramp make a left at the stop sign on to Winans Avenue. Take Winans Avenue to the end. Make a right turn on to Maple Avenue and take it to the end.
Make a left turn at the light onto Hillside Avenue. Continue on Hillside Avenue, bear right at the fork and travel over the Route 22 overpass. You will now be on North Broad Street. Go about one mile and make a left turn on Lower Road. The Cemetery entrance is on the left.
