Early Childhood Center
“Each child carries his own blessing into the world.” (a Yiddish saying)
At Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, we believe that each child is a blessing to the world. Nurturing our youngest congregants—from 14 months to five years old—within a Jewish environment is a sacred mission, which The Rabbi Barry H. Greene Early Childhood Center has successfully fulfilled since 1967.
Our curriculum is founded on the belief that each child is unique and learns in his/her own way. Children learn through play and exploration, and we plan activities that
- cultivate their curiosity,
- aid and develop their abilities, and
- help them find creative solutions to problems.
We also believe that learning should be self-rewarding, fun and non-competitive. Our professional staff fosters each individual student’s social skills and esthetic, as well as his or her emotional, physical and intellectual development, by providing opportunities to grow within a safe, secure and caring environment.
