Join Rabbinic Intern Hannah Ellenson to learn how the rabbis considered how to be good citizens.
The Talmud can be thought of as the quintessential Jewish text because it’s full of everything that makes Jews Jewish: debate, intellectual curiosity, storytelling, humor, and the search for new meaning in inherited text and tradition. Join us to learn about the Talmud and about how the rabbis considered how to be good citizens: study how they navigated tension, decided what makes a good leader, and what we owe each other in creating community. No previous Talmud study experience required!
