Bagels & Briefing with Brothers For Life

Please join us for a meaningful morning of bagels, briefings, and Brothers for Life! Brothers for Life (BFL) is a non-profit organization created and run by injured Israeli veterans who bravely fought for the protection and safety of the Jewish people.

Their mission is to empower injured combat soldiers to help them reclaim their lives, pursue their dreams, and continue to serve and inspire the Jewish nation. While hospitalized, injured soldiers are immediately met by a veteran who suffered a similar injury, and this is where the mentoring and healing begins and BFL continues to support soldiers long after they are discharged from the hospital. Their comprehensive approach includes helping the wounded soldiers with medical treatments, educational scholarships, job placements, counseling, financial support, and so much more. The bond forged between them and the healing process continues on, “for life.”

Since October 7th, more than 2800 soldiers have been injured.

On May 5th, we will hear from Snir Pilus, one of the leaders of Brothers for Life, in an impactful conversation with Rabbi Gewirtz, to learn more about BFL and how they are helping so many soldiers injured in the war. Snir joined the IDF in 2006 as a combat engineer. In 2014 during Operation Tzuk Eitan, his battalion was struck by an anti-tank missile while searching for a terrorist tunnel. Fragments tore through Snir’s body. After receiving medical treatment, Snir returned to his unit as company commander. His leadership helped earn his company the Chief of Staff’s Citation.  He later joined BFL after seeing such amazing progress among his fellow soldiers.

We look forward to seeing you for what is sure to be a very special morning.
