Upon her return to the states, Tess served as the education intern at Temple Shaaray Tefila in New York City. Tess has a deep relationship with Israel, in 2016 she received the iFellows Masters Concentration in Israel Education. Tess also developed and facilitated an Israel Education Program for the Center for Youth Philanthropy and Leadership at the UJA Federation of New York. Her connection with Israel has also led her to staff a Shorashim Birthright Trip to Israel. Tess attended Blue Star Camps in North Carolina for fifteen summers as a camper and as a staff member. She believes that there are many ways to engage Jewish students, both in and out of the classroom. Tess is passionate about creating a curriculum and culture for the school that encourages students to develop their individual character strengths as well as provides them with a positive path to Jewish identity exploration
